Do you folks know that the "Fire Dept" bills your insurance company for squad runs if you have insurance.......Don't seem right after the 7.9 mill fire levie---to me thats double dipping----- |

Most towns do bill insurance for ambulance runs. Frankly they need to do so to get reimbursed for supplies, fuel, wear and tear on the vehicle and administrative costs involved in billing and collection (those insurance companies love to charge you a premium but they hate to pay a bill). |

I tend to agree with oleman. If someone had a longterm or terminal illness and required a few ambulance calls during their ailment it would only further the plight of an already ecomonically stressed family to have to fork over a large amount of cash on top of everything else they were enduring. One would think that the last tax levy would have taken care of things.  |
